Dana and Chuck have always loved travel and hosting a great party. Who doesn’t? They also share decades of experience in the restaurant, bartending and catering industry.
The idea for The Caravan arose from visiting countless San Francisco food trucks, mobile baristas in Italy and even a roadside cocktail tuk-tuk in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We wanted to replicate those experiences with a quintessentially American style.
It took months to find the perfect vehicle. When an all-original 1963 Airstream Globetrotter travel trailer turned up, we immediately hopped in the car and made the 15+ hour drive. Come to find out this particular Airstream spent almost every summer in Maine, so it felt right bringing it home again.
Many more months were spent renovating all structural systems while preserving the pristine original condition. The Caravan is one of the only commercial vintage Airstreams without extensive exterior modifications, and we think the original style speaks for itself!
